User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0 Build ID: 20120601045813 Steps to reproduce: Updated Flash Player with its auto-update Actual results: Now, in this version, it looks like Flash Player starts its own process. I've lowered the volume for it in Wondows 7 audio mixer, but it resets from time to time, and Flash starts to output its audio at maximum volume. Expected results: Previously I was able to set up the volume level for Firefox's plugin-container once, and it worked for all Flash.

sunrise_beast: Can you give us an example site where you see this audio issue? Is it happening on all sites or only certain sites?

(In reply to Marcia Knous [:marcia] from comment #1) > sunrise_beast: Can you give us an example site where you see this audio > issue? Is it happening on all sites or only certain sites? This happens on all sites with Flash, for example, on youtube. The volume settings reset every time Flash reloads its process, for exemple, when I close the browser and open it again, or when I don't use Flash for a period of time.

I see his behaviour as well - exactly as sunrise.beast described. Flash version: 11.3.300.262 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0.1 Flash player shows as "Adobe Flash Player 11.3 r300" in the volume mixer.

Also have this problem, Adobe knows about it and seems to have decided it is a firefox problem and closed the bug page as a third party issue as it only occurs in Firefox This is the bug page on Adobe showing more info on the bug and listed ass closed. but still getting reports as of a few days ago https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3210127
This bug seems to have been resolved on the latest Adobe flash 11.7 beta

This is still a problem in Firefox 37 with Flash player 16.0.0.305. Whatever fix Adobe may have had has most certainly regressed, or it was never fixed in the first place. I have the same problem as everyone else. The Windows volume control for the Flash plugin will randomly reset to a default value. For me, it resets to a step louder than mute.

Also should mention I've seen this happen on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
