Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0 Build ID: 20120601175215 Steps to reproduce: In Kubuntu: Proxy data in/etc/profile and KDE entered. In Windows: In the control panel by Internet options Proxy data entered. In the Firefox: With settings under advanced with network, on "settings..." clicked and then "Proxy settings of the system use" enabled. ***************************************************************************** Online page views about the Firefox did not go in the Proxy. Expected results: Die Onlineseitenaufrufe sollten an den Proxy gehen. Dies tut es aber nur, wenn ich im Firefox die Proxy-Daten noch ein mal manuell eintrage. Sowohl bei Kubuntu als auch bei Windows. ***************************************************************************** The online page views should go in the Proxy. This does it, however, only if I enter the Proxy data still in the Firefox sometimes by hand. With Kubuntu as well as with Windows.

KDE system settings are not supported, the settings from gnome/gconf are the used ones. What kind of proxy do you have entered ? A http, https or Socks Proxy ?
HTTP, SSL/HTTPS and FTP at Kubuntu in/etc/profile (= Debian/Linux (gconf?)) IP address and port from squid3. Same at Windows. ***************************************************************************** HTTP, SSL/HTTPS und FTP bei Kubuntu in /etc/profile (= Debian/Linux (gconf?)) IP-Adresse und Port von squid3. Gleiches bei Windows.
To Chrome with Windows, uses the Proxy in the system is deposited. wget with Kubuntu, uses the Proxy in the system (/etc/prfoile) is deposited. ***************************************************************************** Chrome mit Windows, verwendet den Proxy der im System hinterlegt ist. wget mit Kubuntu, verwendet den Proxy der im System (/etc/prfoile) hinterlegt ist.
We accept only one issue in one bug report and multiple issues in one report makes a report invalid. linux and windows are complete different stories and need different bug reports. Please limit this bug report to one single issue. Firefox on linux is using the Gnome settings and you didn't seem to changed the gnome settings. Using the system proxy works as expected on my Windows7 system with Firefox13. I added the http proxy of my ISP "www-proxy.t-online.de:80" to my windows settings and after staring Firefox the proxy was used according to http://www.lagado.com/proxy-test
I don't see a valid bug report here. KDE settings are not supported. If there are issues with Windows, please file a separate bug.
