We have a working webm stream with krad_radio as the source client feeding icecast on in ec2 instance. This should be load tested to see how many clients/Mbps we can support on various instance types.

Generally with icecast the bottleneck is network throughput, rather than cpu. Right now we're using a medium instance which might be conservative. Also, I've been told ec2 peak performance varies widely based on what ones neighbours are doing.

I'm not maintaining this any more, and I don't think we've made any progress rolling out an supported webm solution for air mozilla streaming. As such it's not helpful to track this any more.
