Currently, thus far on a certain site (see bug URL), text-selecting paragraph wide text in the summaries of the news articles on the main page alongside the article text as well is difficult as the page continues to pan as the selection handle is repositioned.
I'm seeing this happening on http://slashdot.org
(In reply to Martijn Wargers [:mw22] (QA - IRC nick: mw22) from comment #1) > I'm seeing this happening on http://slashdot.org I just tried and couldn't reproduce. It sounds like the issue might be caused by the touch hitting the page instead of the handle, since we saw this a lot before adding some invisible padding to the handles. Does this always happen, or just on some attempts to drag the handle?
I'm seeing this on cnn.com now. I'm only seeing it when dragging the handles is being super laggy and terrible, and I suspect it's caused by some bad event queuing, where we're trying to touch the handle after it's moved but before it's been re-drawn. I think we should focus on fixing bug 767070/bug 772140, then see if this is still an issue.
This seems fixed on Inbound (07/13). I'm using 20120713081403 http://hg.mozilla.org/integration/mozilla-inbound/rev/3afe01d22000 (GN 4.1.1)

Then bug 767070 might be fixed too, where moving an absolute positioned block was causing a redraw of the whole page.
Re-opening until it is known for sure which fix is sitting on Inbound. I'm still seeing this happen on different sites such as Techmeme articles. I'm trying this out this afternoon (Nightly 07/14) on a Galaxy Tab 2 7"

The fix is native handles. This should be WFM.
