76718 - Download sometimes saves in /tmp, sometimes where told

If I go to http://se.samba.org/samba/samba.html and
click on the URL for samba-2.2.0.tar.gz, I get the Open/Save
question.  I select Save, and choose to save in my home dir,
/home/jhd/samba-2.2.0.tar.gz (Yes I have write premission).
The mozilla saves in /tmp instead with a cryptic file name, which it
after the download is ready moves (rather copies) to the
correct place.

If I however right click on the URL and select "Save Link As" and
then save to the same place /home/jhd/samba-2.2.0.tar.gz,
it saves there at once.  This is much preferrable, since my /tmp
is not so big.
