- launch mail - double click a message to open a standalone message window - hit cmd-w expected: - window should close actual: - nada you have to click in the window in order for cmd keys to work. navigator doesn't have this problem.

from the dup: "Delete command in standalone msg window doesn't work until i click" I just verified that is still a problem on win98. I think this is an XP bug.

The above works fine on mac. I couldn't duplicate the original bug on Win NT and Linux, so I couldn't test it. I hope this patch fixes on these two platforms :)

Build 2001-05-21-04: WinMe, fixed. Build 2001-05-17-08: Mac 9.04, fixed. Build 2001-05-17-21 and 5/21 build: Linux RH 6.2. The problem still occurs. I have to click on the Stand Alone window before some accelerators will work (i.e. Ctrl+W). Reopening.

i do still see this occasionally on macos with builds from as recent as 5/24/01.
