(Reporter: hwertz10, Unassigned)
Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0
Build ID: 20120620230420
Steps to reproduce:
If I go to image-heavy sites (either huge image or two (i.e. a comic), or loads of small images (not even a photo site, but just lots of little images for menus and such)), I get a crash with a message such as:
###!!! ABORT: X_CreatePixmap: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation); 5 requests ago: file /build/buildd/firefox-14.0~b8+build1/build-tree/mozilla/toolkit/xre/nsX11ErrorHandler.cpp, line 190)
Sites to reproduce include
http://www.uiowa.edu/homepage/central-photos/
http://romanticallyapocalyptic.com/61 (also has image corruption at 4096 pixels height -- will crash within a few pages)
But will crash now and then on other pages.
Actual results:
crash
Expected results:
no crash
