if the history tabs under sidebar are left open and history is cleared through
preferences, the tabs (yesterday, today, etc.) do not refresh and clear unless
closed and reopened.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.visit some pages to produce history urls
2. have history tab enabled while doing this in the sidebar
3. next, open the history tab corresponding to today
4. in preferences, "clear history"... click ok to close window.
5. look back at the open tab


Actual Results:  as can be seen, the tab has not refreshed (urls are still there)
you have to close and re-open the tab for it to be refreshed.

Expected Results:  the open history tab should refresh automatically when
history is cleared through preferences window.

confirming on winMe with cvs 2001042005
seems tricky to fix, keeping in mind the way all sidebars load (ie. massive cpu
hit, for me anyway).
bug 76953 may be helpful for this.

believe it or not, this is actually the exact same problem as the items not
deleting when you delete them individually...
