Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0.1
Build ID: 20120614114901
Steps to reproduce:
1. I logged into us.playstation.com/myfriends/
2. i clicked on the "Online Status" column to sort the list
Actual results:
The list does seem to sort
Work around
In order to make the list sort you have to pan/scroll the page to force a repaint
Additional Note
This issue also occurs on the mobile google reader page (www.google.com/reader). When clicking the menu arrow on the far right to get a pull-down menu, the menu does not appear unless you scroll down, then up to force a repaint.
Expected results:
The list should have sorted in terms of online status

Also wanted to say that the device I have the issues on is the Droid Bionic.
Another site that shows this prevalent issue is twitter mobile.

I'm unable to reproduce this on a Galaxy Nexus using Firefox 14. (On google reader anyway, I don't have a playstation account so I can't log in to the playstation site).

ok i have more information. it seems that the playstation site does something to firefox. maybe it usess up memory or something.
on a fresh install the google reader menu works well but after visiting psn the sorting does not work there and on returning to reader that fails also.

Did you try twitter? It also gums up the dynamic switch from tweets to tweet details after a couple iterations.

I am not the only one having this issue. I just now found a review on Google Play with a similar situation:
Still doesn't work well with DuckDuckGo as the search bar should stay at the top and instead jitters due to Firefox arbitrarily re-rendering the page. Wikipedia mobile site has the same problem when expanding/collasping a section. Can also happen when clicking links, nothing appears to happen, but actually it does load and just needs to render. Rendering can be triggered by scrolling, so it's not a show-stopper.

With fennec release version I can't seem to find the issue regarding to either wikipedia mobile page or google reader. Expanding/collapsing seemed ok without any rendering issue. However, I did not test playstation site since my friend list only contains one user which is impossible for me to see any listing changes.
I think the duckduckgo.com is a different issue with the rerendering with the Virtual Keyboard from what you are describbing initially.
I didn't see any issues with twitter.
The sony, I didn't have any more users than 0... xwei please try adding nh.test.008@gmail.com and see if you see the issue?
We should probably separate the duckduckgo.com as a different bug.
Split off to bug 790818

This issues was happening to me on Android Gingerbread on my Moto Droid Bionic (also my wife's Bionic).
After updating to a leaked ICS for the Bionic, the issue does not occur anymore for me.
Based on this I am wondering if you guys are testing using ICS or an earlier Android version.

When I tried it always on honeycomb or ICS, never on Gingerbread. Does your wife's Bionic still have Gingerbread on it? If so, can you check to see if a recent nightly build on her device still exhibits the problem? That should help determine if it's a android-platform-specific issue or not.

Kartikaya here are my findings on the lastest Nightly on Gingerbread on Droid Bionic.
There is definitely an improvement, but after a while the behaviour of not repainting the screen on dynamic actions returns.
Sometimes doing a refresh will temporarily fix the issue, but then it eventually returns.
Tested with these sites:
us.playstation.com/myfriends - tapping status to sort asc/desc
mobile.twitter.com - tapping tweets to get detail view
en.m.wikipedia.org - in an article tapped sections to expand/contract
www.google.com/reader - tapped double-carret menu on top-right to expand menu
