Since DLBI landed we're repainting the whole page very frequently on mobile on small pans where previously we retained the content. I can reproduce this on cnn.com and http://taskjs.org/. This is a large performance regression for mobile: http://graphs.mozilla.org/graph.html#tests=[[175,63,20],[201,63,20]]&sel=none&displayrange=7&datatype=running

To the best of my knowledge, there's no evidence yet that this is a user-perceived problem by any metric we measure. At any rate, the work here seems to be covered by bug 770144.
