Details

Using jun07 builds on linux rh5.2, mac OS 8.51 and NT 4.0 Move message doesn't work anymore. Doesn't even reflect move after relaunch (as with bug #6975. 1. POP or IMAP. launch to Messenger, select Inbox. 2. Select a message, let it display. Message|move message. Result: nothing happens. Exit and relaunch doesn't even reflect the move.

Jeff has a fix for this. Reassigning to him.

Move/CopyMessages now works on POP3 as it used to be. Imap Move/CopyMessage never works and will remain not working until M8. However, DeleteMessages move to the Trash folder does work on Imap.
I checked all platforms Linux, Mac and win_nt 4.0 on June 11 build Move message does not work on POP either.
Using jun14 build, move message is working for me on pop. Using jun14 build, using move message on linux is crashing.
fyi, Using the June 15 PPC Seamonkey respin build (1999061514), I can move a message under POP. I have to re-launch Seamonkey before I can see the message. The original message is still in the Inbox. Under IMAP, I can not get the feature to work.

Summary: Regression: Move message not working (even after relaunch). → [PP]: Move message is crashing on Linux only (POP)
As mentioned in bug 8114 this bug is now for tracking the Move crash on Linux, POP only. Also, changing the summary to match what's left of this bug and adding [PP] for parity issue. Changing QA contact to esther@netscape.com too. Note: the IMAP Move bug for all platforms is 8457.

New copy service for Pop3 should have fixed this.
Will check this when we get a good Linux build on 7/7.

Using 19990707 build on linux this doesn't crash anymore. However, nothing happens still as stated in bug 8114 (which is still opened). Verifying this crasher as fixed.
