Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1
Build ID: 20120713134347
Steps to reproduce:
Opened an associated file via Windows Explorer.
Actual results:
Firefox creates two windows and displays two copies of the file, one per window.
Expected results:
Only one Firefox window with one copy of the file should display.
NOTE: This behavior occurs ONLY if Firefox is not currently running. If Firefox is running, opening such a file via the Windows shell (Explorer) results in Firefox creating one new tab displaing the file. I've tested with both local files and those on CIFS/SMB shares with the same results. Appears to be a shell integration bug introduced in 14.0.1. I open graphics files from the desktop frequently and I'd have notced this issue immediately if previous versions had this bug.

I just upgraded to 14.0.1 yesterday, and noticed this problem immediately.

Gotta be the same root cause. Fold this one into bug 775427. Sorry for the dup. My pre-filing searches didn't turn that one up.

I have the same problem. Firefox opens a mht file twice on double click or using "open with", unless it is already open, then opens the file in a new tab.
