There is missing an easy way to set up the "Default Search Engine". When you install Adware it changes the default search in the adress bar, and the search engine in about:home.
To change the behavior you have to enter the "about:config" site, and edit some entries, don't ask me which. To edit the search engine in "about:home" back to the default settings you have to replace a sqlite database from an original installation in the mozilla profiles folder.
Fact is, it is not possible for a normal user to set the default search engine back to normal. There should be implemented a easy way to set up the "Default Search Engine", in all the other browsers it is not as hard as in firefox actually.

Note that we're most likely going to tackle this kind of issue in bug 738818.
