An council alias should be created (ie. reps-vent@mozilla.com) for Reps to write to when they need to vent some frustration about something to the council.

Is it worth having emails to this alias sent to the mozilla in house conflict resolution team as well... cannot remember what their name was, but they sounded like they should be helping out with this / would be willing to.
I think you're referring to the Mozilla Conductors (https://wiki.mozilla.org/Conductors).

The thing is I don't even think this program still exists. Some of the conductors on the wiki page have left Mozilla a long time ago. So I think it might just be easier to create our own alias.
If Reps need to vent some frustration about something to the council, why not writing to the council alias?

We should contact people at Conductors program to join efforts and start together, I think it's not a good idea to duplicate efforts.

Looks like this need some discussion. Marking major to get it in front of council.
Severity: normal → major
What if the reps frustration is about the council or the council member itself? Would it be helpful to have someone from the conductors team like Ruben says? ready to discuss on this.
conductors was an amazing idea. If it's dropped off then we should offer to help revive it. I'd love to see it be a ReMo style collective, and have a blog where it gives advice on getting along with each other and how to handle conflict.
First thing on said blog, should one go up should be Gerv's talk about input and output filters, flaming, etc... the one he gave at mozcampeu last year

Rather than create a new blog, how about a Conflicts category on https://blog.mozilla.org/community/ ?

Link?
I like the idea of a new category on an existing blog... there are enough to follow as it is. As for links the only one I can provide is to the session details from mozcamp eu 2011. In there is a quick blub of the session as well as a link to the slides.

Stormy Peters is the contact for conductors. We should contact her about the current status of the program and about our ideas.

Conductors still exists. Some of our members are Mozilla paid staff and some are non paid staff. Conductor's goal is to help mentor people who find themselves in difficult online conversations. (We also watch the forums we are in and reach out to people we think may need help.) We are happy to help Reps if there is a need!

If you are looking for a place to vent, I think you are looking for something more like Yammer. :)
Like I said, Conductors still exists. It doesn't get a lot of requests for help right now. I talked to Majken and I'd be happy to work with someone to see how we could expand Conductors and add training and proactive tips blogging.

I don't think it's the right channel to vent in but I fully support everyone having a private place to talk to their peers about frustrating or sensitive issues.

Stormy, Sounds good. I think we need to wait until we have someone who has time to drive this. If someone wants to volunteer that would be great!
OK, so this bug (creating the reps alias) is wontfix, but we should definitely open a discussion on how to integrate a few reps inside conductors group.
