I have added an endpoint that lives at /services/status/ When things are all good it returns 200 with some data about what it tested. When things are not all good it returns a 500 with some JSON that has a field 'error_message' that will tell you what is passing and what is failing. Currently it only checks to see if it can connect to caching and the database. I will happily add anything else to this that is deemed important.
