Sometimes when I'm reading news, a message will not show up correctly. It will show up as a compressed mess. Here's an example: -- Path: secnews.netscape.com!not-for-mail From: "Angus Lee" Newsgroups: netscape.public.mozilla.crypto Subject: Unified Certificate Store for Mozilla, Netscape and IE Date: Sat, 28 Apr 2001 11:56:38 +0800 Organization: Another Netscape Collabra Server User Lines: 11 Message-ID: <9cddqt$2ei1@secnews.netscape.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: pppc004.dialup.cityu.edu.hk X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 5.00.2919.6700 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.00.2919.6700 Hi, I wonder if there is any ways allowing Mozilla, Netscape and IE to use the same digital certificate store. Mozilla and Netscape 6 are essential the same. According to my observation Mozilla and Netscape 6 use a Berkeley db to store the digital certificates. However Microsoft tends to use its own mechanism to store the digital certificates. I found that there're indeed more than one stores, "MY", "CA", "ROOT", and "AddressBook", in Windows. I think if we can find a unified store to store the digital certificates, we don't need to import the same digital certificate twice when we have more than one browser on our computer. Angus Lee -- There's no formatting, just all the text compressed into a single line. The work around is to click on another message, and then to click back to the message in question. That workaround does not always work the first time. Sometimes it takes another round before it is fixed.
