Timeless is opposed to the fixing of bug 77819. We therefore need to do the logical alternative to that and clarify ownership of the rest of the program. Here are the necessary Navigator changes I see to get us started: File ---- New Navigator Window -> New My Navigator Window Open Web Location -> Open a Web Location that Belongs to Me Open File -> Open One of My Files Work Offline -> My Work Offline Edit ---- Undo -> Undo My Changes Redo -> Redo My Changes Preferences... -> My Preferences... View ---- Toolbars ---- Navigation Toolbar -> My Navigation Toolbar Personal Toolbar -> My Personal Toolbar Taskbar -> My Taskbar Let's get started with this and I'll post more changes as necessary. I was also thinking (but this should probably be an RFE) we can have an alert at on every startup, something like: =============================================[X] ------------------------------------------------ | | | [!] | | Welcome, [name]! | | This is My Mozilla! It belongs to | | you! Don't let me interface with | | your use of my program! | | | | (( _OK )) | | | =============================================== Usability studies show that Mozilla users exhibit an extraordinary high level of short term memory lossage, and some, as a result, suffer from identity crisis; this alert (subject to change) would be the first step in resolving it.
LOL
Not sure what I do with this to be a good qa contact. Cannot reproduce on mac, I still remember that 1+1=3. Recomend WORKSFORME if same result on win2k.
This sounds like a good localization. We can call it "All your commands belong to blake." I'd suggest Work Offline -> Take My Work Offline
How about this? Search ------ Search MY Web
Problems with the alert: * It shouldn't have a close box, because that would encourage the user not to read the alert, and we can't have that. * It shouldn't have a `!' icon, because it doesn't offer the user any options. (It could be argued that the user is in danger of losing his mental health by using such an app, but if that's the case then we should have a `Cancel' button as well.) * It provoked a list of bulleted points from mpt, which is never a good sign. I think now would be a very good time for Zach to start asserting himself as QA contact for this component.

* On Windows, alerts have close buttons, but are disabled (I wasn't sure how to show that in ASCII). * Agreed on the icon, I suppose. This was just a rough sketch.
hmm, be assertive... Wonder what that means. Well, since there is no 'stopfilingbugsblake' state, I shall resolve this REMIND, and we can assess the status of the translation to "All my base belongs to me" in several months. RESOLVE REMIND.

vrfy remind. On windows dialogs should have centered buttons. Older dialgos used the 'i' icon, and there's the '?' icon, but in general, it's clear that you got a bulletted list from mpt. reminder: don't do that.

REMIND is deprecated.

WFM, in an effort to bring some kind of resolution to this epic. Unfortunately, now I don't know who owns what modules.
