Screenshot of sympatico homepage on table after requesting the desktop site
On my tablet (version 4.0.3) Asus transformer prime, I requested the desktop site on 'sympatico' but it will not load it - it is only displaying the mobile site (see attachment for visual reference).
I logged into live.logon.com, entered my credentials, selected the 'sympatico' link from the 'more' drop-down menu, and was displayed with the mobile sympatico site. I requested the desktop site, and it refreshed with the mobile site still.

For what it's worth, I tried this with Chrome (18.0.1025123), and the Android browser on my Galaxy Nexus (Android 4.1.1), and neither could reach the desktop site when requested.
