User requested that Opt-Reload should bypass the cache. I think currently only shift does. Sarah, can you confirm that that's the case? Matthew, input?
hunh, when it comes to Mac, i don't know if it should be shift+reload or option+reload. questions: * what is the 4.x convention? to use option+shift? * mozilla/6.x is currently recognizing shift+reload --option+reload does nothing. tever/benc, should we change this option+reload, or simply make it redundant with shift+reload?

another observation: in 4.76 on my Mac, both shift+reload and option+reload reload the page, but i'm unsure if they're doing the same thing [ie, bypassing the cache], or if one of them is redundant with the regular reload command.
It should not be CHANGED from shift-reload; that needs to still work. It appears that option-reload did the same thing as shift-reload on the Mac in 4.x, but I'm just comparing the server resposes; I haven't looked at the code. Maybe sdagley can check.
The force (super) reload on Mac versions prior to Communicator 4.x was option- reload. UI unification for Communicator 4.x declared that shift-reload was the XP way but the Mac version also supported option-reload since changing keyboard shortcuts between versions is a bad idea (and it's one that was used a lot)
I don't see the harm in supporting Option+Reload as well as Shift+Reload. Eventually I think we should use Command+mousedown on toolbars for starting a drag that moves the toolbar buttons around, but I don't think Option+mousedown is ever going to conflict with anything.
So, if everyone in in agreement: option+reload button == shift+reload button in MacOS... Since this does nothing in MacOS now, what paperwork needs to be done here? This should probably be an RFE + targeted somewhere. Also, is this a networking feature? If not, Tom and I would like to reasign the qa contact.
benc: this is not a networking bug. necko knows nothing of keystrokes.
