The pine branch already has some code to support hooking up identity into PeerConnection, but a few more fixes were needed to make it work. Attaching the patch here so we don't lose track of it (should apply cleanly on pine, already checked into alder).

Thanks, Anant, for keeping this visible. I've linked to this from bug 878941 so current efforts can refer to it. The peer connection auth is going in a slightly different direction, so I'm going to close this one.
