Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0
Build ID: 20120808030529
Steps to reproduce:
1.Login to gmail
2.Choose any contact and open the chat window.
3.Popup it by clicking the button on the top right corner.
Actual results:
The popup window is indicated to be partially encrypted.
Expected results:
It actually should be fully encrypted.
Google Chrome is no problem. Analyzed with HttpFox, clearly no http connection during the process. I've check both 14.01 and nightly, they share the same behavior.
Summary: Gmail chat popup indicated to be partially encrypted → Gmail chat pop-out indicated to be partially encrypted
I have test both 13.0.1 and 14.0.1 again with new profiles, 13.0.1 is ok, it still indicate the pop-out window as fully encrypted, but 14.0.1 is no longer correct.
I'll try to nail down the precise revision if I'm free.
Again, both IE9 and Chrome 21 indicate the pop-out windows as fully encrypted.
I've tested several old nightly builds in a virtual machine with XP.
All with completely new profiles.
The last known good revision is "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:14.0) Gecko/20120326 Firefox/14.0a1 20120326031149".
i.e, the first known problematic build is "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:14.0) Gecko/20120327 Firefox/14.0a1 20120327031149".

Hmm, that would be http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=ba4983d9c1f9&tochange=c3cb87871829 but I don't see any obvious Change there.
Can you verify the Changeset IDs by looking at "about:buildconfig" in the two Builds you pinned this down to?
well, I tested again just now, in order to confirm the changeset, yet this bug becomes more weird. All revisions that were ok which I had confirmed just hours ago don't work any more.
Is there any tools or methods available to hunt down the source of insecure content that trigger this "partially encrypted" notification?
I've interest in solving this problem.
I monitored the traffic again with HttpFox, all are https connection except the safe-browsing data fetch by firefox itself. I haven't tried fiddler but it is expected to show the same thing as HttpFox does.
And I installed Chrome 21 in the same virtual machine which I tested firefox in, it works as normal as I test in my host.

Just in case it's related: bug 784276.

This probably is not the same bug, if the cause is what the reporter suspect, i.e 301 redirection. Because I can't see 301 in my gmail session.
