I do not have solid STRs, but this has been a common problem over the past few months. Occasionally when browsing on a page which requires vertical scrolling, both the two finger scrolling gesture and the mouse wheel stop responding. The gesture/wheel still work in other applications, just not in Firefox. Restarting the browser fixes the problem. The closest thing to an STR is: 1) Go to a page which requires vertical scrolling. 2) Scroll part way down the page. 3) Stop scrolling for a second or two. 4) Start scrolling again. The problem is very intermittent, sometimes a week will pass with no problem, sometimes it occurs 4 or 5 times a day. I have seen this most frequently on BrowserID's GitHub page, but have just seen it while searching for bugs in Bugzilla. I have seen this problem in Current and Nightly, I use Beta and Aurora infrequently.
I have the same problem on two machines, both running OS X 10.10.3 and latest developer version of FF. Problem also occurs on FF 39.0. Scrolling with the scrollbar or arrow keys in FF works. Also, scrolling works well in other applications. The fix is to restart FF, but it's a very annoying "fix". roy
