Actual results:
does not stand up area, but instead the browser thinks that I'm going to link to
Expected results:

Adding depends on bug 378775, because this bug is explicitly about copying; but maybe it should be marked duplicate of that or one of the bugs blocked by it.

With Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0, I can select text in a link by dragging while holding Ctrl+Alt, but the link also opens in a new tab.
