You can test the issue easily on BMO. Open a finite length audio (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=461797) or video (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=643908) file in Firefox. Result: Firefox autoplays the file but the seek bar stays stuck at the end of the duration. If you click on the play button a 2nd time when autoplay is over, the seek bar moves normally from the left to the right. Autoplaying finite length files behaves like playing infinite length streams (like http://audio-ogg.ibiblio.org:8000/wcpe.ogg). Mozregression range: Regression window(m-c) Good: http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/cb495bdd4aea Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:8.0a1) Gecko/20110801 Firefox/8.0a1 ID:20110801200714 Bad: http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/10927265c555 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:8.0a1) Gecko/20110802 Firefox/8.0a1 ID:20110802025715 Pushlog: http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=cb495bdd4aea&tochange=10927265c555 Regression window(m-i) Good: http://hg.mozilla.org/integration/mozilla-inbound/rev/98303320cbbe Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:8.0a1) Gecko/20110801 Firefox/8.0a1 ID:20110801071406 Bad: http://hg.mozilla.org/integration/mozilla-inbound/rev/445abd683ea4 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:8.0a1) Gecko/20110801 Firefox/8.0a1 ID:20110801130010 Pushlog: http://hg.mozilla.org/integration/mozilla-inbound/pushloghtml?fromchange=98303320cbbe&tochange=445abd683ea4 Suspected bug: Bug 619752 - Duration should be +Inf on infinite length video streams

So it's a dupe of bug 575459, no?
