In FreeBSD, JPEG has just plain not worked for a long time. I've tried both using my libjpeg and the one that comes with mozilla. I've also tried using the code from the M6, M7, and current branches. I have yet to see any JPEG images in Mozilla since around the beginning of this year. I'd like to try to be able to get JPEG support working finally, but I don't have any idea why they don't display.
