Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0
Build ID: 20120815101724

Steps to reproduce:

I am trying to use cmd + c (copy) on mac and nothing happens.

Actual results:

I can see the event being triggered in some way, but looks like the does not happen, because the highlighted text is not copied. (The situation is the same wit any keyboard shorcut like paste, using tab in the page, or trying to bring up the firefox setting with cmd + , -- nothing happens).

Expected results:

The thext should hav been copied to the clipboard.
And another thing: this is probably not related to Mountain Lion, because it worked in previous versions of Nightly.
It works for me with the latest Nightly build (20120821030519).

Reporter, can you reproduce the issue in safe mode (http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode) or with a new profile (http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles)?

Thank you!

Let me try both and get back to you here with the results.
On the first link there was a firefox reset option. I tried it, it solved the problem. I lost a few things that were set up, but that would take me only minutes to get back.
Unless we would like to find out the cause of the problem, I would consider this bug solved.
