Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:14.0) Gecko/20120715 Firefox/14.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.11 Build ID: 20120715041107 Steps to reproduce: In SeaMonkey browser, click on File > Send Page. Put in addresses, complete subject line and either click on Send or Ctl-Enter to send message. Actual results: Server responds with "Sending message...." It will get to a percentage, sometimes as high as 98% and then this error message: "An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Transaction failed: Cannot send message due to possible abuse...." I click on the OK button and the draft copy of the message disappears (as in gone), it IS written to the Sent file but the message IS NOT sent. I either have to recompose the message or go to the Sent folder, copy to drafts and resend. Each time I get the Yahoo "Abuse" error message this happens. If I use my Gmail account, in SeaMonkey, the exact same message sends with no problems. Every time. I cannot remember if this started with this latest release of SeaMonkey or at least one version earlier. At the most this has been happening for about two months. I use the same SeaMonkey installation for Yahoo and Gmail. Expected results: Prior to this particular problem, if I got the Yahoo "Abuse" message, the draft of the message would stay on screen and I could either click resend or change to the Gmail account and try to send again. As it is now, the message just disappears without even saying "Goodbye".

Update: When trying to send an email, if I get the Yahoo error message, "An error occurred sending mail. The mail server responded: Resources temporarily unavailable - Please try again later. Please check the message and try again." the behavior is the same as I previously stated - the message IS written to the sent file, the draft copy disappears from the screen, and the email IS NOT sent. Message has to be recomposed and then effort made to resend. Also, updated to SeaMonkey 2.12 this morning and no change in behavior.

(In reply to WADA from comment #3) > Rather same problem as bug 780124. WADA - Yes! Althought Rob and I have different error messages, the results Rob gets mirror exactly my results. To quote Rob's original post from bug 780124: Actual results: I get an error message (as I used to get), but instead of keeping the composer window open, the composer window is closed and the mail (which has not been sent succesfully) ends up in my SentMail. So this bug has not been resolved then?
