Details

While the nightly build 2001043004 used to run fine the whole day on my NT box (just used it to report some other bugs) it suddenly doesn't start at all anymore. When I double click the desktop icon, I get an entry 'mozilla' in the NT taskmanager which is allocated about 1M of memory, but the splash screen or the browser never comes up and I have to kill the process with the taskmanager. I've been starting and stopping Mozilla about a dozen times before without any problems. The last run and the restart were not more than five minutes apart and I didn't do anything special to my machine in the meantime, didn't start any other programs, etc... For me this now is very reproducable since I can't start Mozilla at all anymore.
worksforme with 10min old build on win2k. Reporter: Have you tried to create a new profile ? (run mozilla -profilemanager)
can't create a new profile since even "mozilla -profilemanager" doesn't start up. same effect.
reporter, what other applications are you running? See bug 53952
I had an instance of Real Jukebox sitting around. Suddenly, Realplayer had starting problems as well. Killed the whole lot et voila, Mozilla is back working. So it all looks like a dupe of bug 53952 to me, thanks for pointing it out.
