From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.8.1+) Gecko/20010430 BuildID: 20010430 If you leave the mail window open on IMAP folders with "Check for new messages every .... minutes" enabled, it will get the new messages, but display an error message dialog "Unknown Error 80004005". This does not occur when using IMAP at any other time, with the Check for new messages option disabled. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make an IMAP Account 2. Turn on check for new messages, 1 minute is fine 3. Open the mail window and click on the IMAP Inbox folder 4. Wait 1 minute Actual Results: modal dialog "Unknown Error 80004005" pops up
I have not seen this on my system. Yesterday, I had mail opened all day and have check msgs every 1 minute on my IMAP account. I there anything else in your steps that we need to do to reproduce this, (like leave is alone for x amount of time) Do you have any filters?

Is it possible that one of your newsservers was down. I have seen this in the past when a newsserver has gone down.
