When bmo feels it sees an email address, it tries to linkify it. When bmo feels it sees a bug reference, it tries to linkify it. If both get together, it gets awry. Example: (1) just an email address bun127399 <bun127399> bun127399@düsterloh.öö <bun127399@düsterloh.öö> mailto:bun127399 <mailto:bun127399> mailto:bun127399@düsterloh.öö <mailto:bun127399@düsterloh.öö> (2) same as (1), with additional bug reference bug127399 <bug127399> bug127399@düsterloh.öö">bug127399@düsterloh.öö <bug127399@düsterloh.öö">bug127399@düsterloh.öö> mailto:bug127399 <mailto:bug127399> bug127399@düsterloh.öö">mailto:bug127399@düsterloh.öö <bug127399@düsterloh.öö">mailto:bug127399@düsterloh.öö> bmo probably should not try to linkify bug references inside email addresses …

Bug 714684 looks like a similar symptom in a totally different component (mozbot module "Bugzilla").
