I have `browser.newtabpage.enabled` set to True and make frequent use of the start page. It surprises me that it doesn't get entered into my browser history though.

Frequently I'll click one of the links presented on the newtabpage to find no new content on the website (news site, twitter, reddit, what have you), so I try to back up to the newtabpage using a track pad gesture, or the back button in the browser chrome, or a keyboard shortcut. It usually takes a few seconds for me to realize that I can't backup to the newtabpage and instead have to open a new tab to get to it. It's disruptive.

I expect the back button, gesture, keyboard shortcut, etc to be able to load the newtabpage.

This behaviour was removed in bug 724239, suggesting this will be resolved wontfix.
