"Add Current Page" also disappears. To see it, run apprunner and click on the Bookmarks menu. You will see the "Manage Bookmarks" and the "Add Current Page" menu items. Dismiss the menu and post it a second time. The menu items are gone. I guess the started happening after the template was added.

Note: I don't think that this bug can be blamed on the addition of XUL templates as removing the template doesn't make the bug go away. -- rjc

CC'ing waterson. This is happening because I'm actually setting and unsetting the "open" attribute for menus. It looks like unsetting the "open" attribute is causing non-rdf generated children (e.g., children specified in the XUL rather than in RDF) to be destroyed.

It's not a dup exactly, it's just a better explanation of the problem caused by bug #3440. So I left it open to track.
Well, it's caused by 3440. When 3440 is fixed it will go away. I'd say it's a dup.

in what build is it fixed? i just reproduced it on RedHat 5.2 with build 1999-06-17-08 steps: 1. launch apprunner. 2. select "Bookmarks->Add Current Page" 3. select "Bookmarks" again -- both "Add Current Page" and "Manage Bookmarks..." disappear.
