Firefox Mobile 10.0.5ESR/Firefox Mobile 15 RC build 1
Device: Acer Iconia A500 (Android 3.2)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Install Firefox Mobile 10.0.5ESR and change the language from the Local Picker to any language
2. With the system language set to English install Firefox Mobile 15 RC build.
3. Open Firefox and wait for migration to complete.
4. Visit some websites that open doorhangers like: popuptest.com/popuptest1.html
Expected results:
Since the system language is English everything is in English.
Actual results:
Doorhanger notifications are in the language of Firefox XUL (10.0.5ESR)

I would expect that the transition from XUL to native on phones had the same issue, can you confirm? Did we handle that in any particular way?
Also, the suggested work-around of uninstall/reinstall does loose ones profile data?
The smallest-impact fix would be to reset the values for intl.locale.matchOS and general.useragent.locale, I guess, as those are the two prefs that the xul language picker set to non-default values.

Given that we already went through a migration on phones (arguably a larger population) I don't see the need to make any changes at this point for tablets.

Reproducible on phones too.

Uninstalling will loose the data.

I agree with mfinkle as of now this is essentially a moot point. Almost all of our population of installed XUL users are upgraded. Those that are not can uninstall/reinstall.
