Exactly the same issue as bug #766914, but specific to the Google Nexus 7, it seems. Affects 17 and 18 (central), I've not tested on 15 or 16 (which have a work-around that should stop this from happening, so should be fine?). Works fine on the Galaxy Nexus.

Perhaps we have a different user-agent on tablet, and the evangelism didn't cover that?

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" affected. They are probably sniffing for 'mobile'; where we have 'tablet'.

Nexus 7 uses the Tablet UA as well.

Does this affect 10" tablets too? (thinking of the bug title)

We use the tablet UA for all tablets, so I imagine all tablets are broken for youtube.com (unverified).

Should we open a new bug to remove this hack dependent on getting YouTube to fix their sniffing?

This doesn't affect anything before 17 since we didn't backout bug 766914 until 17.
