when you open a link in a new window with middle-click on a link or
right-click+open link in new window, the initial focus is in wrong widget and
you can't use arrow keys or pageup/down to scroll the document unless you click
somewhere on the document first..

nowadays this seems to happen sometimes also when following links without
opening them in a new window (ie. with a left click)..

this was working a while ago but has regressed lately and now doesn't seem to
work at all.

This has been reported before, e.g in bug 58250 and bug 67977. But you're right,
it got worse recently.
