This looks terrible, and is unacceptable for a default PDF viewer. This affects all scientific writing, and mangles sums, integrals, and other typography. The whole point of PDF is to ensure that everything looks exactly the same, no matter the viewer. "Firefox PDF preview" should be disabled until it can actually display PDFs correctly!

Ms2ger, is it still an issue for you on Linux?
I cannot reproduce the issue with FF on Win 7, even if this an old build from Sept. 2012.

Is there any progress on this bug? 

Should Firefox PDF previewer really handle PDFs *by default*, even if there is another PDF viewer on the system, when after 3 years it still doesn't work?

How is this *still* not fixed, 4 years after the bug has been published? 

This affects all scientific writing! Both sums and integrals are completely mangled.

Is it not time to disable PDF.js as the default PDF-viewer, and use the system PDF-viewer by default?
