From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9+) Gecko/20010504 BuildID: 2001050420 My inbox has well over 7000 messages. When attempting to synchronise, I see a dialogue reporting that the mail server complained "Command line too long." A folder with nearly 2000 messages worked fine. Folders with fewer messages worked fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Build a huge mail folder. 2. Try to download it (folder properties, offline, download now) or synchronise it (File, Offline, Synchronise now). Actual Results: Get a complaint dialogue reporting that the mail server thinks the command line is too long. Expected Results: Should have synchronised the mail folder.

Using 2001052204 build on NT 4.0 and U of Washington IMAP4rev1 v12.250. I couldn't replicate this problem. I tried downloading 4000 messsages and it worked fine. I tried 6894 messges and no problem either. Though I talked to David and he did mention he had a fix for this?

Though I wasn't able to reproduce this bug. I am going to mark this as dupe of bug 80110. And when the fix to that bug lands, I'll test it against a uwIMAPd server and see if this problem reoccurs. marking as dupe. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 80110 ***
