From bug 789108 comment #3:
2) Extract ("build") and upload symbols of the Gecko build we're using (for other products, buildbot calls IIRC |make buildsymbols| and |make uploadsymbols| with some env vars set).

With that additional step, the stack traces and "crash signatures" in the crash reports should mostly become meaningful to analyze.

We decided we wouldn't do this for the current nightly builds, because doing this outside of releng's infrastructure would be fairly complicated.  So, releng will have to do this for releng builds, when they're available.

This has been done as part of bug 800364 for nightly unagi builds. jgriffin also has his builds uploading symbols.
