Not quite sure which component this belongs to as it could possibly be done from something for XUL, chrome, skins, or anything else. Mac IE 5 has this this nice feature of selecting all the text in the addressbar when a new window opens. This is great as one can start typing the url right away without needing to use the mouse, keyboard shortcuts or arrow keys. We currently do a good job of setting focus up there at startup (at least in my build), so would select-all be hard to add?
