Initially I thought we don't support this, but sheela said it does work in her 
system. I tried creating a new profile (hoping it has something to do with the 
profile that I have been using for a while) and it didn't help either. :(

Build: Today's commercial build on Win NT. New Modern skin.

It works for me with may07 build new modern skin, but I think there may be an
existing bug about no bold in mail after switching themes... will hunt.

The bug I was thinking of is bug 45813. It's summary has been changed to reflect
Folder bolding, but originally was a message thing.  Scanning over the bug, it
looks like it mentions a lot of bold/unbold text problems after switching.

suresh, are you possibly stuck in the weird "clodern" state?

"clodern" == "half classic - half modern". 

please provide a screen shot.  and see if explicitly switching to modern fixes it.

fyi: I did not switch skins. I'm just using the default new modern skin. I tried 
to switch to classic, but switching themes doesn't work (though the pref panel 
is classic).
