We plan to support packaged apps for Firefox OS and Android. At some point in the future we may decide to make major changes to these platforms which would break support for some of the packaged apps. It will be easier to track how many packaged apps are affected if supported application versions are listed. We should include platform version in the mini-manifest as well.
This is the first I've heard of this. Marking uiwanted - Jonas, do you think this is something we should pursue?

I don't think I understand the proposal here. Simply requesting that developers list which platform (B2G vs. Fennec) they have developed the app for doesn't really help us understand the implications of what will break if we change a particular API. For us to be able to know that we need to know exactly which APIs a particular app uses. We actually almost have that since we have the "required features" field. Or am I misunderstanding something?
Buchner has ideas/mockups/opinions about this bug.
wontfixing this in favor of buchner's idea. No bugs filed for that yet.
