In a recent NSS Labs study, Firefox "Malware Block Performance" has been rated POOR: https://www.nsslabs.com/news/press-releases/new-nss-labs-study-finds-google-chrome-fails-block-click-fraud
In particular, overall Firefox "Malware Block Rate" has been 5%. In comparison Google Chrome rate has been 27.6%. NSS report (https://www.nsslabs.com/system/files/content/report/files/2012_AB_Is-Your-Browser-Putting-You-At-Risk_0.pdf) states the following: "NSS Labs determined that Safe Browsing API v2 includes additional functionality that has been integrated into Chrome, but not Firefox or Safari.
This functionality provides reputation services for executable files, or as Google describes them “malicious downloads”."
