The link in the about:plugins page to check for updated plugins: http://www.mozilla.com/plugincheck/ in the italian version redirect at this (not) working page: http://www.mozilla.org/it/plugincheck/ The link in the Addon Manager is different, it uses https and it redirect correctly:
i guess its bug 795953 - we work on this
