Hey all, 

Pete had a suggestion that we add in some Facebook affiliate buttons that are a little more fun. The example he used was the Firefox mascot jumping in Miami, but I'm open to other ideas as well. 

I think adding two would do for now. One for desktop and one for mobile. 

Also, we can use the mobile on to replace the button that's using the FirefoxOS graphics. Win!

I'm not sure what the urgency is in terms of replacing the FirefoxOS button, but it would be great if we could have the two new buttons by the end of next week so we can get them to localization.

Hi guys,

I noticed there was mention of using photos for the updated buttons...would it be possible for a couple of specific ones to be passed along to me? I'm thinking that we could include the 'download Firefox' headline along with a photo.  

Assuming we're going with the photo route, is there anything that we could use to differentiate between a mobile button and a desktop button?

I'm ccing Carmen on this bug as she has a lot of the photos of the fox mascot that were taken in Miami. 

I think you're right about the copy and the photo. It's just a question of picking the right photo. 

Carmen, do we have any photos that might work for mobile?

Hey there,

Yep yep! We have lots of photos that would work for mobile and desktop. 

We just need to make sure that we've posted them already on our Facebook status (as it came out of that budget.) 

Here are the ones that have been retouched already by the photographer that took them

If there are some in there that you'd like to use, can you please run them by me first, so I can make sure we've used them on Facebook already, or can tell you when we will. 

Clearly we've used the Firefox jumping one, so that one is okay to use. 

If there's something in particular that you don't see that you'd like, perhaps we can get it in our next shoot.

Thank you for passing along the images...I had a look and picked a couple that I thought could have a nice composition...one being the approved image of the Firefox mascot jumping on the beach.  I thought the sand area gave a nice space for a 'Download Firefox' headline.  I am hoping the image I used to represent the mobile banner will be ok to work with...it is a shot of a Firefox mug and mobile phone on a desk surface. Please let me know what you think of these two!
