What version of Firefox are you testing with? If not the latest nightly, could you please test there? We've landed a bunch of CTP cleanup on nightly quite recently.

Looks very similar, certainly. It's not in an <a> tag here, but it looks like we're basically doing the wrong thing with the click event (the overlay should consume it and allow it to go no further, but it continues on to a click listener or something that re-inserts the flash object).
I think this bug was fixed by bug 787619.
