What build of firefox are you using? Other people have reported maps issues with 
range analysis, and I believe those issues have been fixed.

Ok, I just reproduced this on OSX.  I am not too sure why this reproduces with OSX, but not linux, So I'll be debugging here for a while.

Jeff, I belive this to be a duplicate of bug 799282, which has a patch in nightly at this point.  Are you still seeing this with a nightly from after the 12th (I believe that is the first nightly with https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/41c4510e6635)?
