To release Firefox in Aragonese, we need a way to promote it. We do that via http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/ web pages. There's a set of pages that are essential to having a successful Firefox localization and promotion, and those depend on the files listed below.

Milos or Pascal will follow up here when the initial setup work is done. After that, you'll find the files to localize in SVN.

The repositories you want to work with are located at https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/an/ and https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/locales/an/ . Files that need to be translated are, namely:

in https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/an/

 404.html
 download/content.inc.html
 firefox/4/firstrun/fallback.inc.html
 firefox/channel/content.inc.html
 plugincheck/content.inc.html
 plugincheck/index.html

in https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/locales/an/

 download.lang
 firefoxtesting.lang
 home.lang
 main.lang
 mobile.lang
 newsletter.lang
 snippets.lang
 upgradedialog.lang
 whatsnew.lang

All the translations you do will be available on the testing website, http://www-dev.allizom.org/an/firefox/ , around 15-30 minutes after commit.

The Aragonese team will be driving this bug to completion.

committed in r111457, I had to recommit your html files in r111458 and r111459 because they were using the ISO-8859-1 encoding and not UTF8 but apart from that, all looks fine.
Here are a few pages using yor tranaslation:
https://www-dev.allizom.org/an/firefox/channel/
https://www-dev.allizom.org/an/firefox/new/
https://www-dev.allizom.org/an/firefox/fw/
https://www-dev.allizom.org/b/an/firefox/whatsnew/
https://www-dev.allizom.org/an/firefox/17.0.1/firstrun/
https://www-dev.allizom.org/an/plugincheck/
https://www-dev.allizom.org/an/download/?product=firefox-9.0.1&os=linux&lang=an&nodownload
https://www-dev.allizom.org/an/404.html

Note that that whatsnew.lang was moved from an/locales/whatsnew.lang to an/locales/firefox/whatsnew.lang, I have reflected this change.

There are a few strings that were added to the files since you started your translation, please update those.

Thanks

Updated files on dependence bugs
FYI, lang files loog good, great progress to far. As of today there are only 3 strings missing which are the new about:home snippets I added last week:
http://l10n.mozilla-community.org/webdashboard/?locale=an

Daniel, on the link above I recently added a Critical YES/NO flag on files, if you see new strings (and there will be new strings ;) ), you can focus on the ones marked as Critical because we evaluate those for our decisions on shipping Firefox for a locale.

I am keeping this bug open since Aragonese isn't even in the Aurora channel yet so it's likely that by the time we ship a final release, there will be updates to download pages and other in-product pages defined in Firefox.
As per feedback from Pascal, we're all good here. Thanks, team!

Is there anything to do here to enable /an/ on the production website?
The python part is activated:
http://www.mozilla.org/an/firefox/new/

We could activate the php part but it is likely to create new maintenance problems as we are phasing that out, the last important page on the PHP side (firefox/fx) will be soon redirected to the new /new page on the Python side. Are we releasing Aragonese soon?
I'm at least trying to get /an/ up on the web.

I found a few caveats, http://www.mozilla.org/an/firefox/ redirects to the /fx page, and 404s. http://www.mozilla.org/an/firefox/channel/ 404s, too. I'm mentioning that page as it'd be a 'an' specific page to get aurora (and beta) builds. Seems like the channel page is new in en-US, but l10n still exposes and old one?
Yes we haven't migrated the old channel page for locales, we can activate an/ on the php site to have the old page working though.
