There shouldn't be any reason for this to exist AFAICT. I filed bug 801595 to get proper build system support for this. Alternatively, we could just stop putting the platform/locale in the Android file names, since they're already in the directory structure. Doing that would mean we can WONTFIX bug 801595 and just rip out usePrettyNames now. Might need to fix the signing scripts if we do that.
