80205 - I can not start mozilla 0.9 on RH6.2 as regular user

I have removed all the traces of the previous mozilla installations.
(~/mozilla, /usr/bin/mozilla.. /usr/local/bin/mozilla...  etc etc etc )
So, the system was clean. After that I've downloaded tar.gz version for LINUX.
The package was DL into this directory:
/usr/local/downloads/tarballs/mozilla/0.9
My next step was "tar xvfz mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu-0.9.tar.gz"
then "cd mozilla" and finaly "./mozilla &"

Guess what ?  NOTHING HAPPENED.  I got on the screen:

NO BROWSER, NO MESSAGE, NO NOTHING...NO ERROR .. NO NOTHING

Can somebody tell me what i am doing wrong ?

I cannot confirm this- installed build 2001051108 as regular user and launched.

Igor, Not sure this is Installer issue-can you view the install log and post any 
problems noted here?

Did you try to do CLEAN install ?  I mean, did  you remove ALL traces of
old mozilla accross the file system ?

Where is located installer log ?

I remove all profile data and install into a new directory.
The install.log is in the installation directory.

I am not able to find any install log file in the install directory.
Is this because I installed moz 0.9 from tarball ??

tar does not create log files, the log file is created if you run the 
installer to install.

Mozilla from the tarball must usually be run once as root to create certain 
files. I think some people have had luck running only regxpcom and then 
regchrome as root instead of having to run the full-blown browser.
