Feedback is telling us that it's hard to clear websites from the History. It seems to be people can't find the Clear History Dialog in the Settings Menu.

Taking a step back - I think we need to make it easier to (a) remove something you just visited from your top sites/history/etc. directly (b) make it easier to clear out some subset (most recent?) of your history And then there's the original usecase for the Clear History dialog, which is to clear out your history entirely - i.e. reset the browser when it comes to your data. In fact, if this is the case -- maybe we need to rename that feature. This is useful even in a world with Private Browsing because you can always accidentally open a link that you don't want in your history, or not know about PB.

Also - removing pages from about:home - I think some of this is accounted for in ibarlow's about:home customization designs.

I thought we were working on a contextual hint for this, but I can't find the bug. Chenxia?

(In reply to Richard Newman [:rnewman] from comment #4) > I thought we were working on a contextual hint for this, but I can't find > the bug. Chenxia? I thought the button in the history panel was the solution we came up with.

Madhava - I agree with Margaret that this is bug 998009, do you agree? If so, I'll dupe this.
